The studio
Design that changes how a day in the house feels.
Kathryn Interiors is a full service interior design firm providing residential interior design in Miami and south Florida. We create design solutions that elevate the living experience of our clients.
Our design ethos is to positively affect the lives of people through design. We believe that the environment in which one lives has a physical and emotional effect on your daily living experience. Design should establish a sense of well-being, belonging, and identity by creating a personal connection between individuals and their homes.
Kathryn holds degrees in interior design and fashion design, is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and the National Kitchen and Bath Association, and is a certified color expert. She came to interiors through designing and manufacturing custom furniture for her own boutiques, which is why so much of the work here is built rather than bought.
Peter runs everything that is not design: the trades, the purchasing, the shipping and the schedule. Between them, one studio holds the whole project, and you are never handed to someone you have not met.

Every design service begins with a Design Discovery Meeting, where budget and time schedules are talked about before anything is drawn, and the specification you approve later carries the cost and the lead time of every single item.

Discovery
Every design service begins with a Design Discovery Meeting. We start by getting to know you and your home in an in-depth meeting, and use our own process of gathering information and analysis to unearth your preferences and requirements for the space. Budget and time schedules are discussed here, not later.

Conceptualization
We formulate space allocation and layout ideas for furniture and equipment, and the types of finishes to be used. Drawings and documents are prepared and finalized for your approval.

Presentation
We go through the design in detail, room by room, discussing every element. A detailed specification list outlines the cost of each item, anticipated lead times, and anything about it that can affect the project.
